A huge selection of korean favorites. I had the spicy korean beef soup. It was hot and delicious and the serving size was huge. The service is very fast and friendly, our tea and banchan were always kept topped up. Bring cash if you want a 5% discount.
One of my go to Korean food restaurants. Food is decent and priced fairly similarly to other restaurants. I do think the service could be better, would be nice if they check in to make sure guests were okay.
Never a disappointing experience at Owl - decided to skip the soups and try something new for a change. I'm convinced their entire menu is delish! We drank our tea quickly and wished our server was a little more attentive. Other than that, food was served hot and flavourful.
Authentic local neighborhood Korean food served quickly. The Owl of Minerva is a chain of casual Korean semi-quick serve Korean restaurant. You sit down at a table and order from a waiter who brings your food, and you go pay at a counter after. Food is delivered quickly. The quality of the food is good, and there is a good variety ranging from soups (they are most known for those), stir-fry served on a hot iron plate (beware that it splashes all over), various appetizers and such. I've had their stirfrys a few times and the quality is very good, some of the other dishes such as glass noodles are not quite as good. With most meals, you also get a set of Korean code side dish with kimchi, cucumber and sprouts, which you can ask for a refill if necessary. Hot rice tea is served by default, but you may ask for cold water if needed. The setting is unitarian and functional, but is pretty spartan, built for efficiency. There is a sign that says they do not use MSG, though the food is far from bland as there is a good dose of flavor and likely salt. There is also a sign saying they are peanut free facility. At the time of my recent visit, they offered a 5% cash discount.
They don't have the pickled radish that I enjoy at some other Korean restaurants (or even the other Owl in Mississauga) but overall I would come here again.
